Men and women are always curious about how to engage each other in conversations about money. What questions are OK to ask? When do you start asking direct questions about money? Everybody wants to be sure they are financially compatible before they commit to a long-term partnership, but very few are comfortable talking about the issues....

Family Secrets.
Three generations of one family share their intimacies with the world
of the vampire. Unveil the revelations and the horror of the Undead.
Chronicles of the Undead is narrated as the personal journals of
Samuel, Edmund, and Charlotte Harrington; this novella tells three
stories of temptation, vengeance, and redemption.
There is also a free download of a short story available, as well as
one of my poems.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have revised my short story

It now contains nine stories, and has a new cover and price. It is
still available on Lulu.com, but within a few weeks it will be
available at online retailers.
You can preview the changes here: http://www.lulu.com/content/1156075
I'll update when it becomes available online.

I found this interesting website for readers and, I think, for writers.
It's called LibraryThing, and basically a place to catalogue your
favourite books online, interact with people who like those books,
find books you haven't read or just converse with book lovers.
What's interesting for writers, at least in my opinion, is if your
book is on amazon or another online retailer, you can list it in your
catalogue. Instant free publicity. Also, there are a couple of other
features for authors.
If you are an author with one book published at one of the places in
their Search Library (such as Amazon etc.) you can become an official
LibraryThing author. You get a little yellow button graphic for your
profile.
And they have a program called LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This
allows publishers to summit books to be reviewed by LibraryThing
members before official publication. And if your publisher is not
currently part of their program, they have a form letter you can send
to your publisher asking them to participate.
All you have to do to join LibraryThing is sign up, and catalogue your
favourite books online. They offer a free sign up (with a 200 book
limit on how many books you can add to your catalogue) or an unlimited
$10 per year fee, or an unlimited lifetime membership for $25.
There are lots of interesting people there, and they all love to read
books.
Here's the link if you are interested: http://www.librarything.com/
If anyone is looking for a good spot to post articles and make friends,
I found a nice site.
Gather.com is a great place for writers.
Here's the link:

I now have a store at cafepress: http://www.cafepress.com/afallon
I've got notecards, postcards, mugs, posters, and other stuff for sale.
All with designs and logos from my books.
Take a look, you might find something you like.
Just wanted to let everyone know I posted a mailing list/newsletter
service on my site, http://afallon.bravehost.com/
Sign up if you like.
Also I have a link exchange, and a page for displaying banners related
to books.
And I started an ongoing short story at my blog on MySpace. Here is

PODauthor has been infiltrated by the UK lottery email scam. The
messages have been rejected and their email adresses banned, but I
thought I would send a warning to beware of such email.
Although new to the self publishing world, I thought I would pass on
my experience with Lulu.com
1- Formatting: Lulu has excellent guidelines that made formatting my
book easy, but I recommend you also use a published book as a template
as well. By using a published book you can get a visual on how to
layout the title page, copyright page, etc. (A Note for formatting
with Lulu: If you are using Corel Word Perfect, and you can publish to
PDF with the program, do so. Lulu acccepts this PDF file, and you can
see how it appears before uploading. Just make sure to embed the fonts.)
2- Editing: Get someone to edit your book, even if it is just a
friend. (although you should get a pro, or someone who knows what they
are doing.) Use a spellchecker, and a grammar check, and if you have
Adobe Reader use the Read Out Loud feature. It will give you an idea
of how the book flows, and where it needs to be edited.
3- Promotion: You need to promote your book. First you need a press
release (research how to write a professional one); there are free
release sites and ones you have to pay for, so shop around and decide
what is right for you.
Put your bio and presence on the web: places like AuthorsDen are
excellent. Also if you have your own website, use it. A writers
webring is helpful as well; add your website.
There are many more ways to promote your book, check out the Links
section for more info.
If you go the paid self publishing route, and not through Lulu.com,
formatting and editing are usually included in the package, but you
still will have to promote your book. (See Links for a website that
compares self publishers).
Hello:
I recently published Yuri Academy on lulu.com and was looking for any
feedback you might have on that matter or self-publishing in general.
Feel free to email at ruahforever@... or on the group site if you
have any comments. Thanks. Mike
