Welcome to Tbilisi Info for ParentS (TIPS)!

This email Listserv is a place for parents, caregivers and other members of the Tbilisi community to share information (tips!) with one another about living, socializing, parenting and playing in Georgia. Since moving to Tbilisi in October 2010 I have had a lot of questions about what is available in Tbilisi, where to go with my kids, what to do on weekends and many, many more! I have found the information from very helpful people/resources, but it has usually taken a lot of time and energy. I hope this online community is a place to bring our collective information together so we can help and support one another.

Topics/questions for TIPS! may include (but are certainly not limited to) :

* Tips for moving to Tbilisi: what to bring, what not to bring
* things to do with children in Tbilisi
* social/cultural events
* child-friendly or other restaurant recommendations
* general parenting questions
* medical questions/doctor referrals
* items for sale/give-away (you can include photos)
* school recommendations
* extra-curricular activity ideas
* favorite recipes
* travel ideas/places to visit
* nanny/driver recommendations
* share a new business,
* advertise services, events or goods. (No commercial posts; they will be removed by the moderator).

To be the most helpful, please reply to the entire group unless someone specifically requests to have a personal reply. This way we can all learn from one another. If you do not want to receive all of the emails, you can manage your communications through Yahoo and choose a 'daily digest' versus the entire email chain.
