Description

Welcome to Tidewater Rails!
Inspired by Bob Yanosey's popular book, TIDEWATER TRIANGLE, the Tidewater Rails list has been created to provide a forum for railfans and railroad modelers to discuss various aspects of railroading that operate, or that had operated, in this area. Our coverage area includes most of Eastern Virginia and Eastern North Carolina, from Fredericksburg, Va., to Morehead City, N.C., and as far inland as Raleigh - Durham,N.C., and Richmond, VA. Just as railroading in the Tidewater area continues to evolve this list also continues to evolve, and we enjoy discussing anything from the earliest narrow gauge lines, to the most current shortline and industrial motive power assignments.
