Twenty-First Century technology to help us fit traditional dance into our lives!

This list/group is intended to aid discussion re Morris dancers and musicians or _those interested_ in Morris dancing and it's music on Vancouver Island or it's surrounding islands in British Columbia. Discussion on Mummer's plays is welcome as well.

Sides are: Hollytree Morris, Island Thyme Morris and Quicksbottom Morris all of Victoria, BC. The latter two sides became autonomous early in 2006 having been the Men's and Women's sides of Island Thyme when it was a Joint side. QBM took on it's new name 24 Jan 07 having been Victoria Not-For-Joes (Border Morris) during the interim.

News: QBM along with two sides from the Van. area are heading to the new Princeton Traditional Music Fest. 16-17 Aug 08. See us there!
QBM is practising in the parks (close to pubs) for the summer. Write to the list owner for info.

Membership approval is required to join this list to cut down on SPAM and other crap, so please give us YOUR NAME and LOCATION/SIDE NAME (if in one) during the application/joining process.

Attachments are not allowed for the moment. It's fairly straightforward to post an item in the Files area or elsewhere and let folks know where it is.

One may join just the e-mail list. For e-mail only membership please write to the list-owner, see below. This will work with any e-mail service/ address. If you've received an invitation use the "join the mailing list" link at the bottom of it for e-mail only (no Yahoo ID reqr).

If you do acquire a Yahoo ID you'll be able to read & post from the web, search mail from before you joined and download files, view the entire calendar and photos and more.
