The purpose of the University of Toronto based group Advocates for Islam is to educate people (Muslims and non-Muslims) about Islam and to better the understanding of Islam.

Advocates for Islam meetings usually take place on the first Friday of every month at the International Students Centre (33 St. George Street, University of Toronto). The format is a short talk followed by an informal discussion. Primarily dealt with are subjects and issues fundamental to the religion.
