What is Freecycle?

The Freecycle Network's mission includes reducing waste and fostering cooperation between nonprofit organizations and the public. Check out freecycle.org for more info.

How does Freecycle work?

One rule: Everything posted must be free. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, or an old door to be given away, it can be posted on the network. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself? Respond to the posting directly and you just might get it. After that it is up to the giver to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.

3) CAN WE USE FREECYCLE TO FIND NEW HOMES FOR ANIMALS? No. Animals are family - not furnishings! Please contact your local animal shelter or post to the Kootenay Community Café.
