Hello and thank you for your interest in Freecycle™! Freecycle™ is a non-profit organization. This group is based on a concept created by Deron Beal in 2003.

Freecycle™ Calgary is an opportunity for people in and around Calgary, Alberta to improve their own lives and the lives of others by passing on their "trash" to those who would find it "treasure".

Here is a few of our rules. PLEASE read the complete rules in the Files section under “Freecycle™ Rules AND Etiquette File”:

1: Everything must be completely *FREE*. No trading, bartering, borrowing or money. No services, information, advice, politics, proselytizing/religion, spam or advertising.

2: All items must be Legal, Safe and Appropriate for all ages.

3: No pets offered or requested.

4: PLEASE NOTE: We require the subject line of all posts follow a simple, specific format. Incorrect subject lines will be rejected/deleted by a moderator. Learning the proper format by reading the rules file referred to above before posting will avoid much wasted time for member and moderator alike.

New members posts will be moderated. We will endeavor to have your post on the board within 24hrs. If there is an error in your post you will receive a note from a moderator.
