In 2006, I have decided to organize this group to put together an on-line family tree of the Gontovnick family. The origin of the family thus far, has been traced to 18th century Eastern Europe - Stayasishok or Adutiskis in Lithuania - where it seems there were several families using this name or something closely associated to it.Right now,there are several people who are actively working on this who can use help in putting things together. If you are interested in
helping out in any way, please join in.

This group is mainly designed to exchange information as we attempt to put together somekind of historical timeline and family diagram.

At this time, there are Gontovnick's / Gontovnik's / Gantovnik's & Gontownick's - in Canada, United States, Israel, Columbia, Austraila,
Germany,... If you are a Gontovnick (whatever spelling) or related, I invite you to join in and participate in this long overdue
genealogical project.
