This is a one time announcement so as not to clog the board:
All of the patterns, on a cd being released, can be seen at:
http://BullRunArt.com/patterns1.html Just use the "Next"
and "Previous" arrows to go through 13 pages of thumbnails.
The 300 patterns will be on a single cd if all goes well. if it
takes two to fit them all then so be it. There are crisp and clear
lines. Varying levels of difficulty, and virtually ANY theme you can
think of.
If ya bought em all for $7 a pop (average catalog price), then
you'd pay $2000+ ! It's a gift from me to you. Whether or not you
see my patterns as a gift, is up to you ; )
Me making patterns AND cd's has been a learning experience.
Some people have the capability to resize patterns as needed, but, I
will personally go through and resize each pattern to make sure
it's "actual size" is 8 x 10 or as close as proportion let's it get.
If for some reason a pattern or patterns are too small or big, let me
know and I'll remedy the problem.
Any patterns made after today's date (April 15, 2004) will not
be on the cd, therefore, being the usual $7 price tag per pattern.
Of course you are still welcome to buy individual patterns at $7
until/unless I come up with a more specified price list. I had
started that list when my health began to roller coaster...haven't
finished it yet. If bought by itself, the Harley-Eagle-Logo pattern
is the only $10 so far. It WILL be one of the patterns on the cd of
300. Can be purchased by paypal at
http://BullRunArt.com/patterns1.html or by snail mail to:
Charles Dearing
P.O. Box 1212
Elgin, Tx 78621
No pressure, just wanted to let ya'll know 'cause I'm a pattern
junkie and I know there are others! This is a one time mention of
this cd in the group so any questions you have about it, just email
me at Charlie "at" BullRunArt.com
Ya'll make dust now......ya hear?

Hello everyone!
It's been a long time since I've been here. I've just received a
request from a club in Sudbury looking for donations to auction off
at a fundraising event. I will be donating a couple of bird and
wildlife pieces, and thought I'd find out if anyone here may be
interested in doing the same. If you are interested, email me, and
I'll pass along the club's resume, fundraising letter, and contact
info.
Thanx in advance, and Happy Scrolling!

For some unknown reason to me my identity got mixed up in Yahoo
sites and it would no longer accept my name , password etc... etc.
Notices said my identity belonged to someone else. DUH.. It belonged
to me for years.
Nevertheless I got around it by deleting all Yahoo data from my
computer and re -registered with different identification.
I am now accepted and I am in the process of re- registering into
the various Yahoo sites that interest me.
It's been a long time since I was active in this one. This site
dosn't look all that active right now. Maybe it's just in one of
those slumps that some go though ?

with other things. I still drop in from time to time though. I just
got a request from a freind of my daughters to do a picture though
so I may be getting some time in on the saw shortly. How is everyone
else. I seems that very few even posted to this thread. I know that
folks are at least popping in and reading new posts. Please post
something. Makes the owners happy, right Dave

There have been a couple of times when I logged into the chat on
Sunday and no one is here. Have you moved the chat to a different
night? If so, what night and time. Thanks
I have finally finshed drawing up a set of plans for an Air
Filtration System that utilizes a Furnace Squirrel Cage, a Furnace
Motor and 6 each 1" x 16" x 20" Furnace Filters. It works very well
for me and it just might work just as well for many of you out
there. Ther are a few out there that I had promised these plans to
when I had completed them, but, due to a malfunction at the
junction, my compter hard drive decided that it was time to give up
the ghost. It had two viruses' and a worm on it, pluss 330 deep
rooted Spyware thingi\y's and I had also had a hacker get in. I
think that I have all of that rectified with the upgrading of my
firewall, this years Norton and a few other devices that will work
together. Plus a whole new hard drive with twice the capacity that I
had with the original.
I tried to attach the plans to this message, but for some reason,
I just could not so, if those that want a copy, they can email me
direct or via this group and I will send them out to you

Dave -- I was just able to get in just fine. I have been lurking around,
might want to make sure he signs out of Yahoo and then signs back in. If
that doesn't help, I would delete any yahoo cookies as I believe that is how
they tell where you can go (memberships in groups, etc). Hope this helps.

Good day, eh, Folks!!
I have been informed by tbear (Ted D in Elliot Lake, Ontario) that

I don't know how to help him with this, and I'm interested in hearing
from anyone (by posting to this message board) who might be able to
get Ted back in.
If others are having problems like this, please e-mail me at

Well spotted Tom. It is indead from "Fine Line Design" by Judy Gale Roberts,
Design Book #1. In the book it is on page 28, one of the 111" by 17" fold out
pages.
It wasn't the easiest pattern I've done and am quite proud of how it turned out.
I have it mounted with a black acrylic sheet behind the wood, 1/8" balsam ply.
Thanks for the comments,

Dave:
I would love to post what I have cut but unforntuately, I have sold all of
what I have done. This is the bad season right now as I still work and most of
my free time is spent working with thr Royal Canadian Legion. I am working on a
clock but is very slow going as there was a page (2 actually) in the plans that
were missing. I purchased the plans fron Scrollersplans, sent them am email and
got no response what so ever. Sent an email to the Berry Basket and they very
promptly sent me what I was asking for.
Sorry about the Clipper but there is another one on its way. For us, we
are looking at -34 and maybe even colder. Up on the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range,
where I work in the Cold Lake Oil Patch, the temperatures will drop down to
about -44. Just shy of Bermuda Short weather.
Once the middle of Feb. rolls around, the activities at the outr local
Branch of the Legion along with District and Provincial Command start to slow
way down and I will be able to get out to my shop and get some work done and
then will post some pictures, especially now that I got a Digital Camera for
Christmas.
Keep warm.

$230.00--$255.00 and this one I'll try for $275.00-$280.00 To make this piece
takes about 4 half days of cutting. Can't sit on this one a full day.

interested in seeing the fantastic cuttings of Hanks can view his

Thank's Dave for a super pattern, This is the third cutting of this
pattern in the last 8 weeks. I raise the price $25 each time and it
still is one of the best eye catchers at the art or craft shows I
attend.Still have a few patterns of yours that I haven't had the
time to cut yet. Thanks again. Hank
Hi Dave, I hit the site at least 4-5 times a week and never see any new posts.
Sure would like to see some chatter about how other scrollers use the saw. Maybe
this will get some folks out of the snow banks up there. Thanks for my cutting
on the main page. Regards, Hank

I would like to thank the Mods. for selecting my JUNGLE QUEEN
cutting as the home page photo, my work would not have been possible
if we scrollers diden't have the talent of Dusty Canuck Dave and
other fine artists to do all the time consuming work to make the
patterns. THANK YOU. As for the cutting, I have the good fortune of
living near a mill that cuts only black walnut. This cutting is
13"X17"X 1 38" thick, Flying Dutchman POLOR blades #3#5#7 with a
felt backing. This was a nice cut, alot of drill holes but well
worth the time it took to cut. Would like to see some other cuttings
of this fine pattern. Thanks again, Hank
Our newest home page photo is courtesy of Hank---aka popsb95548. I'm
sure Hank will be happy to tell us a little bit more about what wood
and blades he used to create this masterful cutting.
Congrats, Hank---well done!!
