What we are all about:

Shanghai Weekend Oasis Club is formed with the mission to bring nature lovers living or visiting Shanghai in touch with nature. We go on weekend excursions to to explore towns and countrysides in the near by provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui, giving participants the chance to get in touch with nature and local cultures, as well as meeting new friends in Shanghai.

What do we do:

Most of our outings are day hiking trips, where anyone can easily join in just by showing up with comfortable walking shoes.Once a while we'd also have an overnight trip to make things more interesting for everyone.

Who can join:

our past participants ranges from 7 to 70+, and we've had as many as 7 different nationalities in one group. So regardless of your age and nationality, as long as you are comfortable about doing lots of walking, and love to explore the outdoors, come join us, we'll make you feel welcomed.

Memberships and costs:

Right now we have no membership fee to be part of the group. Cost of the trip consists of actual cost, and the cost of trip leader to be shared among participants. Trip leaders are also guaranteed a per-dim for each day that they are on duty with a group. Per-dim rate is as follows:

4 ppl. or less - RMB 450/day
5 - 9 ppl. - RMB 500/day
10 and above - RMB 50/person/day

Payment:

Cash or bank deposit.

Cancellation Policy:

Since a large portion of the trip cost is based on actual cost of transportaion, accommodation etc. cancelling on a trip may mean that other participants will pay more as a result. Therefore, a portion of the deposit may be deducted to compensate for the extra cost to other participants as a result of the cancellation, plus 50% of the organization fee will be charged towards all trip cancellations.
