Description

Total Clothing Rights was founded in May 2002 by a small group of male cross-dressers who became disenchanted with the notion that one had to "pass" as female in order to wear feminine clothing.

To us, it seems preposterous that a person should be forced, or even encouraged, to permanently or temporarily change their gender if the only motivation is the desire to make a fashion choice traditionally associated with another gender. Such coercion, whether it comes from the medical establishment, society in part or as a whole, or even a support group, constitutes a fundamental breach of our Human Rights to dignity and freedom of self-expression.

This group is for anyone who wants freedom to explore fashions — including clothing, make-up and accessories — regardless of conventional gender stereotypes. Aside from most modern, trouser-wearing women, that's a small but growing number of men!

We encourage the support and sincere participation of any person, regardless of their gender or other cultural influences, who identifies positively with these views. We hope this will be a diverse, enjoyable and stimulating group, full of brave and interesting people!
